Brussels has hosted the launch of a new international phase of the “Moroccans of the World 2026” Expo Tour, led by Al Omrane. The event marks an important step in Morocco’s effort to strengthen ties with its citizens living abroad and promote investment opportunities in the country.
The initiative is part of a wider strategy supported by Morocco’s Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy. The policy focuses on building closer connections with Moroccans across the world and encouraging their involvement in national development.
Officials said the Brussels stage is designed as a direct platform for dialogue with the Moroccan community in Belgium and the wider Benelux region. It aims to provide clear information on housing programs, real estate investment, and financial support systems available in Morocco.
A key focus of the expo is real estate investment. Visitors are being introduced to different housing projects across Morocco. These include opportunities for both first-time buyers and investors from the diaspora.
Organizers also highlighted existing support tools. These include financing options, assistance programs, and government-backed housing schemes. Experts are present to guide visitors through eligibility rules and application steps.
The event includes a three-day program from May 15 to May 17. During this period, visitors can meet directly with representatives from the Al Omrane Group and partner banking institutions. These teams are available to answer questions and provide personalized guidance.
On Saturday, an institutional conference was held under the theme “Real estate investment by Moroccans abroad: opportunities, support mechanisms and housing assistance program.” The session brought together diplomatic figures, institutional representatives, and financial partners.
Among the attendees were Hassan Touri, Consul General of Morocco in Brussels, and Najjah Dimou, Consul General of Morocco in Liège. Representatives of Moroccan associations abroad also took part in the discussions.
Officials said the goal of the conference was to improve understanding of investment tools and housing programs. It also aimed to strengthen trust between institutions and the Moroccan diaspora.
Throughout the event, many visitors showed strong interest in housing opportunities. Participants focused especially on affordability, investment safety, and access to financing options.
Experts explained how different housing projects are structured across various Moroccan regions. They also clarified legal requirements and eligibility criteria for overseas buyers.
Visitors were able to speak directly with professionals from the housing and banking sectors. These exchanges helped answer detailed questions about loans, payment plans, and property ownership rules.
Organizers said this direct engagement is one of the most important parts of the expo. It allows members of the diaspora to receive clear and practical information without intermediaries.
The Brussels event is part of a wider international tour. The goal is to reach Moroccan communities in different countries and present investment opportunities in a structured and accessible way.
Officials added that the initiative supports long-term national development goals. By encouraging diaspora investment, Morocco aims to boost its housing sector and strengthen economic links with citizens abroad.
Participants described the event as informative and helpful. Many said it provided clearer understanding of available housing programs and reduced uncertainty around investment procedures.
The expo is expected to continue its international outreach in the coming months. Future stops will focus on expanding engagement with Moroccan communities in Europe and beyond.
Overall, the Brussels launch highlighted strong interest from the diaspora and reinforced Morocco’s push to make real estate investment more accessible and transparent for citizens living abroad.
